While trying to get my 6000 Cd up and running after changing the battery, I discovered a method of obtaining the serial number without removing the radio unit (if this is already documented, apologies!) Turn on the unit Hold down buttons 6 and 1, and then release 6 (keep 1 pressed). The unit will then cycle through a load of stuff. Krieghoff model 32 serial numbers.
